I am clogged up with the cold O.o

Finally went to see the tracy emin exhibition at the gallery of modern art in edinburgh. I am still unsure what to think of her work, i do not dislike it... yet as a whole collection I don't particularly like it.
A lot of it is powerful, really powerful - pages of her diary... but I do not class this as art in the way that it was displayed. I did like her work with fabric and her monoprints though. Earlier work was more raw and interesting.
The exhibition has opened my mind, I do not want my artwork as I go through life to be completely autobiographical. The exhibition was like invading her life and reading things I didn't want to know. I prefer the idea of my work instigating thoughts or feelings in others rather than immersing them in my life story.

Shall be painting on an A1 to A0 scale over the next few weeks, can't wait.
